The Inside Ride 2013

The Inside Ride is an event started in 2007 and runs coast to coast against cancer in support of children and families with cancer.  It is Canada’s first indoor cycling challenge and fundraising event focused solely on raising monies in support of these families and children.  Support has been given to areas such as oncology camps, community support programs, and research scholarships!

Daya and Sachi

Given Jess’ leadership role at St. Mildred’s-Lightbourn School, she first partook in this event 2 years ago – with 350 screaming senior school girls!  This year she rode not once, but twice!  Once at St. Mildred’s and then again as part of The Inside Ride’s National Tour!  Between the 2 teams Jess was on, they raised $8430!![break2]The National Inside Ride Tour, Toronto – was held on October 5^th!  Jess was part of Team Sachi! Sachi is a beautiful, bright, energetic, articulate 5 year old girl – who also happens to be Jess’ niece.  This year Sachi was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.  Jess’ family has seen first-hand just how critical the support and fundraising of organizations like this one are.  Jess and her family are grateful to them![break2]“Not all of us can do great things.  But we can do small things with great love”.  Mother Teresa.
