Sage 100 ERP (Sage ERP MAS 90 and MAS 200) Pricing Flexibility

Sep 17 2012

We would all agree that our customers are the “life” of our business.  We may even want to reward our very best customers with special discount pricing and ensure all customers receive competitive rates.  However, maintaining multiple price levels or discount pricing across a huge product portfolio can be quite challenging.  Good news!  Sage 100 ERP version 4.5 makes this easy by having the ability to assign specific price levels (discount price) to each customer, by product line.
This new feature in Sage 100 ERP is enabled in Sales Order Options.  Price levels may be based on Price Code or Ship-To Code.

Setting up Price level by Customer and Product Line can be achieved in 4 easy steps:
1.  Create Price Level by Price Code
Price Code-Price Level defines the pricing assigned to customers.  Volume pricing may also be defined.  Pricing  Methods makes pricing even more flexible.

2.  Set the default Price Code for each Product Line

3.  Assign a default Price Code for each Item

4.  Link the Product Line – Price Code – Price Level to each Customer
Now, the defined special customer price is automatically suggested upon the creation of a new sales order.
