Macro Magic: Cash Flow Projection in Sage 300 (Accpac)

Jul 18 2013

Sage 300 has several sample macros that can be used out of the box – in a flash! One of them is the Cash Flow Projection. The Cash Flow Projection macro generates an entire workbook that extracts data from GL, AR and AP.

In this post, we’ll review how you can set up the Cash Flow Projection in Sage 300 ERP.

The first worksheet displays the summary of Cash Received (expected from AR), Cash Required (due for payment from AP), and the Bank/Cash account balances (from GL)

The second sheet is a pivot table (created from the fourth sheet: Aged Cash Received Data) that lists/summarizes all expected cash receipts for all due receivables.

The third worksheet (created from the fifth sheet: Aged Cash Requirements Data) lists/summarizes all projected disbursements for all due payables, based on invoices due to vendors. This list may include all available discounts.

Both Aged Cash Received and Aged Cash Requirements may be displayed in Summary or Detailed format.

Normally, to come up with all this information, you would have to generate 2-3 reports. With the built-in macro, this can be generated in a flash!

Steps:

1. From the Macro menu, select Run.
