CEO Hajime Nakai Named a Top 100 Executive by CRN
Buffalo’s CEO Hajime Nakai was named one of CRN’s Top 100 Executives in the Top 25 Disrupters category for 2013. This annual list recognizes the most influential, innovative, and game-changing channel executives in North America and is based on ongoing feedback throughout the year from solution providers, with rankings based on channel influence, effectiveness and visibility, along with business and sales impact.
In a complex and continually changing market, Mr. Nakai’s focus on diversifying Buffalo’s network attached storage (NAS) product line with easy-to-use solutions has resulted in a refreshed user interface and high performance hardware and applications. His spearheading of inter-department collaboration has enabled Buffalo to continuously improve its product offerings and quality of service.
Solution Providers Give Buffalo Top Honors for Networking Storage (SMB)
This prestigious study is considered the definitive benchmark for measuring excellence in the IT channel community and recognizes the top-rated vendor partners in the industry. Buffalo was given the highest honors for Networking Storage (SMB) as Overall Category winner, as well as two Networking Storage subcategory awards for support and partnership.
To determine the winners, CRN’s research team surveyed more than 2,200 solution providers across 18 product and service categories. Respondents evaluated the importance and their satisfaction with vendor partners on 18 criteria within three major areas: product innovation, support and partnership. Winners were announced live in front of a full audience during an awards reception on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at the XChange 2013 event in Washington, D.C.
XChange 2013 Best Demo Room for a Consecutive Year
At this year’s XChange 2013 event in Washington, D.C., Buffalo won an XChange 2013 XCellence award in the category of Best Demo Room. Voted on by solution provider attendees, the annual awards honor vendor companies that feature the most exceptional products, programs and technologies in the IT channel market during the XChange 2013 event. By winning the prestigious XCellence Award, Buffalo Americas continues to demonstrate its commitment to helping solution providers navigate through one of the most transformative periods in IT.
The XChange conference, held August 18th through the 20th in Washington, D. C., brought together top technology vendors and solution providers from across the United States and Canada to discuss emerging technology trends, evolving business models and proven leadership strategies for succeeding in today’s increasingly dynamic channel market.

TeraStation Wins 2013 Reader’s Choice Award – Best Storage Hardware Vendor
Solution providers, VARs, and managed service providers were asked to name their favorite products and vendors in the 2013 ChannelPro Reader’s Choice Award. This year, the awards gave out gold, silver, and bronze in 57 categories. Buffalo was crowned as the Gold Vendor in the Best Storage Hardware category. Netgear Inc. and Hitachi Data Systems placed Bronze and Silver, respectively.
