Recently, a client of Mantralogix got hit by Ransomware! Four employees received a suspicious email with an attachment. Three of them immediately deleted the email without opening the attachment. It took only one employee – to open the attachment – to cause over 100 GB of data – in thirteen thousand folders – residing on one of their servers – to get encrypted by Ransomware – in less than thirty minutes! Yikes!  This left our customer with 2 main options. First, pay the ransom to obtain the decryption keys, and hope that the perpetrators are decent enough to actually provide them.
